Quando comecei a me aprofundar mais no mundo do Personal Branding, fiquei na dúvida se essa seria uma consultoria valiosa. Não pelo valor hora/homem, mas pelo quanto eu faria diferença na vida dos profissionais. Tive essa dúvida porque pra mim, muitos já cuidavam da sua imagem, se comunicavam de forma excelente, se preocupavam com sua reputação. E, acima de tudo, deixavam boas impressões por onde passavam. Então recorri aos amigos que tinham uma Marca Pessoal diferenciada. Perguntei se eles tinham consciência de sua fortaleza e se era estratégico. Para a minha surpresa, ninguém tinha a menor ideia de COMO fazia e POR QUÊ fazia daquela forma. Disseram que tudo era intuitivo, no “achismo”. O curioso foi quando questionei também a Comunicação deles. Não o conteúdo, mas o que não é explícito: o tom de voz, os gestos, a postura, as roupas, o andar, o olhar, a imagem virtual, etc. Todas essas informações complementam e reforçam a Marca Pessoal de um profissional. Ninguém soube me responder de forma assertiva. Inclusive, muitos desses meus amigos não tinham parado para pensar que possuíam uma Marca Pessoal e que poderiam gerenciá-la estrategicamente. Entendi que havia um preconceito sobre esse assunto. “Ah mas isso é Marketing Pessoal, não vou mentir pra agradar os outros, além disso não sou artista e nem político.” Um julgamento equivocado. Personal Branding não se resume em Marketing Pessoal*, não é se promover passando por cima dos seus valores, não é manipular a sua imagem. Personal Branding é pensar estrategicamente na sua carreira e se comunicar de forma consciente. Reforço aqui um ponto que falo sempre aos meus clientes: “a ideia não é transformar você em uma pessoa que não é. Essa é uma ferramenta para lapidar e potencializar seus diferenciais na Gestão da Marca Pessoal e Comunicação Profissional.” *Marketing Pessoal faz parte do processo de Personal Branding. Ficou claro então pra mim, que essa seria uma excelente oportunidade de começar a desmistificar o conceito de Personal Branding. Hoje tenho a oportunidade de levar esse conteúdo a vários executivos que passam pelos programas de Outplacement aqui na DNA. Compartilhar conhecimento. Quebrar julgamentos distorcidos.
